In my 5th appearance at the British Open I was able to reach the quarter finals after winning my first match against the German Raphael Kandra. I won 3 sets in less than an hour and felt confident with the way I played.
In the second round I defeated the talented Egyptian Mohamed Abouelghar in 3 sets framed in a fast paced game where I showed a consistent, disciplined and strong squash level.
In the quieter finals I came up against the world # 1 Mohamed ElShorbagy who is at the peak of his game.
I felt much more confident and positive than in Chicago. I lost 3-0 in closed games but overall I find it very encouraging to play with him. It motivates me to keep improving my game and find strategies to beat him in our future encounters.
Next, El Gouna in Egypt, one of my favorites and last of the Season!!!
