Triple Gold Medalist in my 4th participation in the Panamerican Games. After winning Team Gold in Rio 2007 and Individual Gold in Guadalajara 2011, it was Toronto 2015 who brought another Individual Gold Medal after surpassing the best Squash players in the continent.
In Semifinals I played Canada’s Shawn Delierre and won 11-7, 11-8, 11-8 (3-0). The final was a tough match against Peruvian star Diego Elias who had previously defeated Mexican Cesar Salazar who had won Silver in the previous games. Playing Diego always implies having a consistent strategy and being very physically fit. After 88 minutes and a close score of 11-9, 3-11, 12-10, 11-8 (3-1), I climb to the podium and claim my place as the best player in America.
It was also an honor being the Flag bearer for the Colombian delegation in the most important Games of the Continent. Colombia came 4th in the continent with over 200 athletes in different disciples. The Colombian Squash Team played a significant part by winning 4 medals including 2 gold medals to the total sum.
